Jumeirah Open Beach
The summer might seem ruthless but if you are ambitious enough, head out to the beach before sunrise to catch it at its most uncrowded, unpopular time. To save on a parking fee, park at the open plot opposite Burj Khalifa. Opt for an easy and economical take-away shawarma meal and treat your guests to food that runs in the Emirati blood. Buy the famous “karak chai” from one of the many vendors.
Dubai Abra Ride
Far from the towering structures of the new Dubai, lies the heritage of this city. On the Deira side of the Dubai creek, traders still commute through the traditional “abra” which takes you across the creek for just one Dirham.
Dubai Museum
The one of its kind museum in the city is located in the Al Fahidi Fort, built in 1787 and is the oldest existing building in
Dubai. This gives an enlightening peak into the evolution of life in UAE. Opening hours are from 8:30am to 2:30pm daily except Friday when it’s closed.
Dubai Fountain and Burj Khalifa

Metro Ride
For eager skyline watchers,
instead of resorting to an expensive Bus tour in the scorching sun… treat your guests to a Metro ride from one end of the city to the other. Plan your trip in way that you park your car at the Al Rashidiya Metro station and commence your journey during broad daylight. An hour and 16 Dirhams will take you to the other end of the city in airconditioned luxury. Hop down at the last station (Ibn Battuta) and give the guests a tour of the great Islamic traveler’s expeditions.
Wafi Rooftop Movie
Chill out at the Pyramids’ Rooftop Gardens on every Sunday evening at 8pm with a new movie each week. The grand open-air setup with keep your guests guessing how much you paid for the excursion!
Dubai Mall Aquarium and Dubai Dino
The largest mall in the world is also the host to the largest indoor aquarium which is also in turn host to various breeds of sharks. Watch the expert divers feed the sharks and swimming enthusiasts swim in their midst for free.
A little walk down the aisle gets you face to face or rather face to feet to the first Dinosaur relic of the region that has been lovingly named “Dubai Dino”. The Diplodocus has flown all the way over from another continent to live with us.
