Dubai, UAE, 20 January 2016: Zulekha Hospital has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with charitable organisation Beit Al Khair Society to provide healthcare services to patients in need.
The far-reaching agreement was signed by Mr Taher Shams, Managing Director of Zulekha Hospital and Mr Saeed Mubarak Al Mazrooei, Deputy Executive Director of Beit Al Khair Society in Dubai.
Mr Shams believes the MoU is yet another important milestone for Zulekha Hospital in their unyielding efforts to widen and enhance UAE residents’ access to medical care. He said: “Signing this agreement emphasises our commitment in adopting humanitarian initiatives as we aim to contribute to the development of health standards in the UAE and bring interests to the community we care about.”
Mr Saeed Al Mazrooei commended Zulekha Hospital for their pledge to provide world-class healthcare to all patients, regardless of their economic background, and praised their sensitivity towards underprivileged members of the community and their families.
He said: “We’d like to offer sincere thanks to Zulekha Hospital for their partnership and we appreciate their continuous effort to provide health care support for patients who are unable to pay or afford the high costs.”
“The MoU will enhance and strengthen our essential role to improve the lifestyle of people with lower incomes, and help them to receive the lowest possible costs of medical treatment.”
The agreement will provide treatment to patients whose health insurance does not cover the expenses of essential treatment or costly surgeries they require. Both Zulekha Hospital and Beit Al Khair Society recognise that the partnership is the beginning of a long-term effort to improve local community health standards.
