Abu Dhabi, UAE – November 09, 2016: This year Yas Mall celebrates UAE’s 45th National Day with a family walkathon presented for all family members for the first time, in addition to joyful traditional Emirati activities at the mall.
Yas Mall is encouraging all family members to get in shape, with a series of fitness classes offered at Town Square, where visitors can prepare for the Walkathon while enjoying a health-focused shopping experience, where everyone can register for free on Yas Mall website www.yasmall.ae or through Yas Mall Facebook page www.facebook.com/yasmallad.
Every week at 9:00am Yas Mall will provides fitness classes with a professional fitness instructor, with a family session every Thursday and a ladies-only class every Monday. The mall witnessed large participation from Abu Dhabi community in the classes with the total number of participants reaching to nearly 1,000 participants so far.
The actual Walkathon will kick off at Yas Mall at 8.00am on the National Day, where Participants will be walking 10 KM inside the mall, which will burn about 300 calories According to Harvard Health Publications
Yas Mall has also invited fitness groups to be part of this incredible healthy and joyful celebratory day, including ‘Run like a girl AD’ as well as students from Al Dar Academies.
The National Day at Yas Mall will also feature other celebrations including a variety of joyful traditional Emirati activities such as falconry shows and henna.
