World’s first test-tube baby Louise Bourn Turns 37 years

BOURN HALL CLINICDubai, 25th July 2015, United Arab Emirates: Bourn Hall Clinic Dubai, a world renowned fertility center, celebrated the 37th birthday of Louise Brown with a month long fertility festival. Louise Brown was the first test tube baby that set a new benchmark for what science and technology could do to improve the lives of people suffering from infertility. She was born on 25th July in 1978 through the pioneering research of Bourn Hall team in Cambridge, UK. Since then more than a million couples have benefitted globally from this advanced clinical treatment.

The festival commenced from July 25th till August 24th to celebrate this scientific achievement by the co-founders of Bourn Hall Clinic, Professor Edwards & Patrick Steptoe. Known as the father of IVF, Professor Edwards, received a Nobel Prize for Medicine for his achievements in December 2010.

It was always Patrick Steptoe and Robert Edwards’ vision that fertility treatment should be made more widely available.  In line with this vision Bourn Hall International was established and it opened a state of the art clinic in Dubai in 2012. It now has plans to open four clinics in the UAE over the next two years. The new international network of assisted conception clinics will adhere to the same standards of excellence set by the original clinic.

Mr. Sudhir Bahl, Managing Director-MENA region of Bourn Hall International Clinic said “Bourn Hall Clinic is pursuing the original vision of the founding fathers and is continuing to be a supportive sanctuary for anyone having difficulties conceiving.
