University Hospital Sharjah (UHS) organised a celebration to commemorate Martyrs’ Day, held on 30 November, and the 44th National Day of the United Arab Emirates, which takes place 2 December every year.
The celebration, which was held on the UHS premises, was attended by HE Abdullah Ali Al Mahyan, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, UHS, HE Dr. Abdul Aziz Al Muhairi, Vice Chairman of Board of Trustees, UHS and Michael Stroud, CEO of UHS, in addition to the members of the Executive Administration and a large crowd of physicians, nurses and hospital employees.
The celebration began with the UAE national anthem, which was performed by the Sharjah Police scout team, followed by many activities and proceedings, including a musical performance presented by the police team. The celebration also included authentic heritage activities, including the offering of popular, traditional UAE food and drink, and the option to take group pictures on this occasion.
