Dubai, UAE. November 26, 2015– Thailand has been voted the Best Country in the World for Holiday in 2015, according to a survey conducted by Ultra Travel Middle East Magazine, a publication of the Abu Dhabi Media which also publishes key newspapers such as The National and Al Ittihad. The Ultimate Luxury Travel Related Awards (ULTRAs) recognise the best in luxury travel based on their readers’ vote on the places, airlines, hotels they visit and the services they enjoy.
The award was received by TAT Dubai and Middle East office Director Chalermsak Suranant at a glittering gala dinner at the “Ultratravel 100 Awards” that took place in Burj Al Arab, Jumeirah on November 25.
Speaking at the event, TAT Dubai and Middle East Director Chalermsak Suranant, “This is the result of the tireless efforts made by the public and private sectors most especially by TAT over last 10 years to ‘reinvent’ Thailand and take advantage of its extensive tourism and travel opportunities. Visitors to Thailand feel it is truly an ultimate holiday getaway with a perfect mixture of the old and new. The distinctive characterof each cities and provinces from North to South is result of Thailand’s long-standing freedom while opening itself to all positive things beyond its borders.”

Aside from Ultra Travel magazine award, Koh Samui, Thailand has also been nominated in Conde Nast Traveller Middle East Readers’ Choice Awards on Best Beach Destination in the World category.
