22 November 2016 – Dubai (UAE): As the UAE trains up for the debut of du Tough Mudder on 9-10 December, CEO and Founder of the global phenomenon Will Dean tested out Dubai’s desert terrain, flanked by some of the country’s first very own ‘Mudders’.
The man behind the world’s fastest growing event series, which has seen more than 2.5 million people take part in 120 annual events across the world, commented on his excitement of bringing du Tough Mudder to the Middle East.
“Tough Mudder has united millions of people across the world, so it seemed like a natural progression to bring it to the Middle East and Dubai,” said Will Dean. “Fitness events and obstacles courses have become a huge trend here, and du Tough Mudder will offer something unique in that it’s a team-centric challenge rather than a race to the finish line.”
Known as ‘Probably the Toughest Event on the PlanetTM’, du Tough Mudder will feature larger than life obstacles designed around the values of courage, personal accomplishment, teamwork and fun.
Held in the grounds surrounding Hamdan Sports Complex from December 9-10, ‘du Tough Mudder’, which is organised by IMG in partnership with du and in cooperation with Dubai Sports Council, will include 8km and 16km courses, appealing to fitness enthusiasts and casual athletes alike.
