Abu Dhabi 24 July 2014 – TOTAL staff distributed the “Spirit of Giving” bags to the ladies at Mussaffah camp. This was part of a Corporate Social Responsibility initiative by Total Exploration & Production UAE, in collaboration with “Labor of Love” for the holy month of Ramadan.

This non-profit charity “Labor of Love”, addresses the needs of workers in all aspects to help them continue living in the country harmoniously. A survey was done by the charity and essential items required by these workers need for their daily use was identified.

Recognizing this need of the workers, Total Exploration & Production UAE, distributed empty bags during the second week of Ramadan to every employee who were in turn asked to make a difference for the community, by filling them with the essential items identified for distribution to the workers at the camp. A separate set of gift packets were distributed to the male workers at the labor camp.

The staff who joined the distribution were happy to note that many of the ladies whom they see regularly at the office tower keeping it clean and tidy were from this camp.

This act added a double joy for all those who participated as the nation celebrated the Zayed Humanitarian day on the next day, and remembered the infinite kindness that were showered to all by the late leader.

Both the male and female workers were highly appreciative of this kind gesture and conveyed their gratitude to all the staff who participated in this campaign.

The team effort displayed by TOTAL staff in this Corporate Social Responsibility initiative was exemplary. This event is an important first step of a series of CSR initiatives lined up by TOTAL Exploration & Production United Arab Emirates for the year ahead. It is part of a sustained effort to convey that using all available opportunities TOTAL is committed to bring out better energy among the staff as well as the community around.
