August 25, 2015 DUBAI UAE: It’s that time of year again where thousands of riders are getting in shape for the annual Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge. With just over three months to go until the big event, training for the UAE’s biggest community cycling event of the year will soon commence with regular Build-Up rides.
Now in its sixth year, the Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge attracts cycling enthusiasts from all over the world. This year more than 2,500 riders are expected to enter and hundreds of local cyclists will be participating in the Build-Up rides as part of their preparation for the big event.
The first of four Build-Up rides will be held on Friday 4th September at 6am, and registrations for the 35km ride around the Nad Al Sheba cycle course are already in their hundreds. The Build-Up rides increase in distance each time as cyclists train for the full 92km race on Friday 11th December.
Spokesperson for the Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge said: “We have created the perfect platform which caters for all levels and cycling experience. With the Build-Up rides, cyclists have ample preparation time for the big event in December and we encourage all keen riders to participate and help promote cycling in Dubai.”
The second 45km Build-Up ride will be held on October 2nd also at Nad Al Sheba. Build-Up rides three and four will both be held at the Dubai Cycling Course, with the third ride on 30th October on a 65km course, and the final one on 27th November on a 85km course.
“Entries are growing year-on-year and we are expecting this to be the biggest Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge yet. With the support from the Dubai Sports Council and the UAE Cycling Federation for our event we are confident that we will continue to build on the already established success,” added the spokesperson for the Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge.
Those interested in participating in the first Build-Up ride can register online for just AED 50, there is also an option to register for all four Build-Up rides and the Spinneys Dubai 92 Cycle Challenge and receive 10% off, this option is only available until the 30th August 2015.
