Abu Dhabi, UAE: 26 August, 2015 – Australian café chain, The Coffee Club has added to their extensive menu a range of plated desserts with an option for even the most discerning diner.
The ‘Granny’s Apple Crumble’ is a delectable treat with the warm apple crumble pie perfectly contrasting against the coldness of the vanilla ice cream. The oodles of caramel add a rich texture to the dessert while the touch of cinnamon balances out the sweetness with a bit of spice.
The ‘Brownie Fudge Delight’ is sinful and the perfect indulgence after Friday brunch – the gooey triple chocolate brownie sits on a bed of cream. Crumbled biscuits add an element of crunch against the velvety texture of the vanilla ice cream and chocolate sauce drizzle.
The ‘Banoffee in a Jar’ is pretty to the eye and delicious to the tongue. The freshness of the bananas, the crunch of the toffee butter biscuits and richness of the whipped cream is a successful marriage of flavors.
And for those wanting one of the classics – good old Tiramisu is on the menu. Coffee, mascarpone cheese and vanilla sponge meet for a party in your mouth in this classical dessert.
“Desserts are an integral part of the dining experience and our selection was limited to cakes and other baked goods off the counter previously. We saw an opportunity to introduce plated desserts on the menu as our customers were looking for options on the menu that were an extension of their meal rather than having to come up to the counter and pick and choose a sweet treat,” explained Mr. Michael Chick, General Manager, Liwa Minor Food and Beverages LLC. “The dessert options were chosen after carefully studying the UAE social fabric – we wanted to have a selection that appealed to the culturally diverse population.”
