Pushing the boundaries of the concept, Christian Louboutin unveils his latest addition to the Nudes collection: Degrastrass PVC, a new style featuring a glassy upper sprinkled with eye-catching strass. Matching virtually every complexion with a range of seven nude shades, the shoe captures the light from the very tip of the toes to spotlight the figure of a modern Cinderella.

The concept that started it all, back in 2013, was simple, yet brilliant: design a range of shoes matching women’s skin tones to flatter and elongate their legs in a seamless way. The Nudes collection was born, featuring five shades and five styles meant to become iconic. Now, five years later, for the anniversary of the collection, the Maison takes it up a notch, blurring further the line between shoe and foot to achieve a sublimating effect one will never forget.

Covering a spectrum of seven complexions ranging from fair to dark, Degrastrass PVC plays on the bold association of clear PVC and glimmering strass. The shoe preciously embraces the foot in a glass slipper of nude coloured leather and clear PVC. Seemingly suspended in the air, crystals dress up the feet, wrapping them in a delicate cloud of light. This optical illusion relies on the strass, tinted to match the seven nude hues of the collection. Hand-applied in a gradation, they scale the light from the feet up the legs for a natural glow enhancing the whole silhouette.

Starting on the 14th of March, the Degrastrass 2018 collection will be exclusively available at the Christian Louboutin boutique in Mall of the Emirates. In line with the #MOEUnfiltered Spring/Summer 2018 campaign, Christian Louboutin is launching a 7-day photo exhibit celebrating women in the UAE. The gallery exhibit showcases a photo campaign of 7 diverse women from the UAE wearing the 7 different shades of nude. By coming together, these women embody the strength of unifying towards a common goal of progress. They show that in their own style, nothing is more fashionable than being yourself. The photo gallery is open to the public from the 15th of March to the 21st of March and is located directly next to the Christian Louboutin Women’s boutique in the Fashion Dome of Mall of the Emirates.
