Under its wise leadership, the UAE continues its inspiring journey of giving and serving humanity everywhere. Amid the challenges imposed by the pandemic, the UAE has extended its help and stood out as one of the leading countries to support humanitarian initiatives and join international efforts to safeguard the health and safety of all people from different walks of life. This was also reflected when building the Emirates Humanitarian City, which welcomed nationals from neighboring countries to provide them with the best medical care possible. The UAE took advantage of its solid infrastructure and healthcare capabilities to test samples collected overseas and spared no effort in participating in clinical trials of vaccinations and promising medicines. It also supported medical and scientific research studies and distributed and transported more than 260 million vaccines to the world through the “Hope Consortium”. DoH has empowered citizens and residents in Abu Dhabi to participate the clinical trial of the COVID-19 inactivated vaccine to accelerate the finding of an innovative treatment for the benefit of the global community.
