Hong Kong, 07 April 2015— Mandarin Oriental, Paris is delighted to announce new culinary delights are available in its courtyard garden to celebrate the coming of spring. One of the city’s most charming, green oases for cocktails and dining-out, the garden is now open daily from 7am – 2am.
The lush, landscaped garden is an ideal location to savour dishes served by Bar 8, the hotel’s intimate bar, and Camélia, its all-day restaurant, where Chef Marx creates Asian influenced fine French cuisine.
Camélia’s new spring menu has delicious dishes like ‘crab ravioli with green peas cream’ and ‘turbot with hollandaise sauce, green asparagus and tarragon’. For dessert, Chef Pierre Mathieu’s seasonal pastries include ‘strawberry pie with basil jelly’ and ‘milk chocolate finger biscuit with passion fruit’. Homemade ice cream bars are also available.
In addition to the outdoor seating for everyday dining, guests can reserve the beautiful, birdcage-style ‘La Table du Jardin’, where six people can enjoy fine dining, secluded by greenery.
Favoured by the chicest of the Parisian social set, the garden is a perfect spot for an evening drink with friends. Guests can choose from the hotel’s selection of drinks, like the famous Bandol Rosé, Château de Pibarnon served in a spectacular Jeroboam or enjoy one of the new cocktails created for sunny days, such as ‘High Garden’, which is made from Sapphire Bombay Gin, Chartreuse liquor, cucumber syrup, green lemon juice, slices of cucumber and fresh mint. Refreshing flavoured waters, like ‘Red Fruits’, are offered too.
To fully enjoy dining and relaxing outdoors at the hotel, guests can book one of its sumptuous suites with large terraces that overlook either the peaceful garden or the city’s iconic rooftops and monuments. Suite Royale Orientale’s new 75-square metre terrace offers an exceptional ‘al fresco’ experience, with its outdoor lounge, dining area and elegant pergola, all enveloped within extensive greenery that enhances views of the Opera district, Montmartre and L’église de la Madeleine.
Lunch at Camélia starts from EUR 52 per person on weekdays for two courses. For restaurant reservations contact the hotel on +33 1 70 98 74 00 / mopar-restaurantion@mohg.com
