Abu Dhabi, January 2018 – Following its successful debut in November 2017, the Baby & Kids Flea Market will return on Saturday the 3rd of February to the Sheraton Abu Dhabi Hotel & Resort. Entry for visitors is from 9am to 3pm and free of charge, valet parking is available and stalls can be booked at 220 AED. Contact via email to abudhabibabymarket@gmail.com, by phone 050 431 0254 or via message on facebook.com/auhbabykidsmarket

The popular event provides an excellent platform for parents to sell and buy pre-loved baby and kids items, meet other parents, keep the kids entertained with free activities and make a contribution to the environment by re-using kids stuff. With dozens of tables offering little treasures such as toys, clothes, shoes, books, feeding and newborn equipment, strollers, chairs, safety gates or other essentials, visitors have a large choice to shop for real bargains. In a lively atmosphere the small ones are entertained by a bouncy castle, a free kids movie on a large screen and various other fun activities.

The organizer, Martina Venus, said: ‘’In a country where most shopping has to be done in shopping malls, and where things are rather expensive, it seems to be a good idea to buy these items second hand, in a family friendly fun environment. Being a mum of 2 years old toddler twins, I realize how fast they outgrow their clothes, shoes, toys and equipment and I am wondering what to do with it. As a native German, I am very committed to the environment and throwing almost brand new items into the garbage is out of question. There are a lot of facebook pages where you can sell or buy your baby/kids things, but it is just such a hassle to drive to the other end of town every time you need a pair of shoes or a few pyjamas. It would be great if the flea market became a fixed event in every mom’s diary, so we all benefit from the platform it provides.
