Abu Dhabi, UAE, August 23, 2015: Ramada Corniche Abu Dhabi Hotel intends to launch a drive to expand business by focusing on China and other emerging markets, its General Manager has said.
Mr. Julien A Péchey said the plan also involves the opening of new restaurants and development of F&B services at the four-star hotel.
He said Ramada is also planning to organize “Silk Road” festivals during Oct 6–12 with the participation of chefs from Silk Road countries as well travel agents, tourism officials, diplomats, journalists and other personalities.
Adding that this important event would be held at the hotel for the first time.
“Many companies will also participate. I believe this event will support the tourism sector in Abu Dhabi and its efforts to bolster its tourism position on the world map.”
Mr. Péchey revealed plans by Ramada to issue a VIP card for guests, giving them access to many services and facilities, including suite upgrade, early check in and late check out, and other services.
“My task is basically intended to develop the hotel to satisfy all our customers and guests. This is the basic value in Wyndham, the owning brand,” he said.
He expected Ramada to achieve good results in the last quarter of 2015 due to a surge in business during the hunting and equestrian season which starts in Abu Dhabi in September, as well as energy and other exhibitions and conference in the capital.
“We are trying to explore new markets for our business. We are focusing now on China, one of the most tourist exporting markets in the world.”
He said Ramada would participate in Meet China conference due to be held in Abu Dhabi in September to meet new partners and discuss cooperation.
He said the Hotel would also attend the World Travel Market in London in November and take part in all other events organized and sponsored by the Abu Dhabi Tourism and Culture Authority in the next period.
“We expect to receive more guests from China, India and Europe in the next period. We also see better business from GCC markets. Our hotel is distinguished because it is the only four-star hotel overlooking the Abu Dhabi Corniche and is only 30 minutes from Yas Island,” he said.
“Our prices are also competitive and suit all guests and visitors. We will make more offers from time to time to our guests from the UAE, the GCC and other countries.”
Mr. Péchey affirmed that Abu Dhabi has succeeded in bolstering its position on the world tourism map and has become a major destination for tourists from all over the world thanks to the efforts of ADTCA, Etihad Airways, travel agents and other parties. “The presence of Yas Island, Ferrari and Water World, global museums and other facilities will ensure Abu Dhabi will remain one of the best tourism destinations in the region.”
