23 January 2017, Abu Dhabi, UAE: Radio Mirchi, a station dedicated to the UAE’s South Asian community, hosted Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan at the international Press Conference dedicated to his upcoming movie – “Raees” at the Bollywood Parks followed by an appearance at the Arabian Center in Dubai on Saturday. The actor, producer and film personality visited the shopping mall to promote his latest film Raees, an Indian action crime thriller, co-starring Mahira Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui, which will be released in cinemas across the UAE on January 25.
Thousands of people attended the appearance in the mall’s Night Court, which saw Khan joined on stage by the film’s other stars and members of the production crew. Fans were also given the exclusive opportunity to take part in a meet and greet session with Khan, whilst a lucky few even received hugs from the legendary actor.
The visit came as part of a whirlwind city tour, in which Khan also delighted fans with his dance moves at Bollywood Park in Dubai.
Radio Mirchi’s collaboration with Khan highlights the station’s commitment to engaging the South Asian community in the UAE by producing diverse and entertaining content, exclusive interviews and the latest music apart from giving the listeners a chance to meet the Bollywood stars in person.
The channel, which represents India’s number one radio station, was launched by Abu Dhabi Media in collaboration with Entertainment Network (India) Limited in 2012. The winner of three consecutive Masala awards since launch, Radio Mirchi is one of the fastest growing stations in the UAE in terms of listenership.
