Join the 10th edition of the Beat Diabetes Walk at Dubai’s Zabeel Park on Friday, November 23, 2018, to help raise awareness about diabetes and reinforce the need to adopt healthy lifestyle.
Registrations for the 10th annual Beat Diabetes Walk in the UAE can be completed at Oasis Mall (cash registrations and on-the-spot kit collection) till November 22. The gates of Zabeel Park will open at 7am and the last leg of registrations will take place till 7:45am. The 10th Anniversary Walk will kick off at 8am with leaders of the Landmark Group inaugurating the milestone event.
There is a nominal participation fee of Dhs20 per adult and Dhs10 per child. All registered participants will receive a walkathon kit comprising a Beat Diabetes T-shirt, cap and a surprise gift. All funds collected will be donated to Al Jalila Foundation to support diabetes research, awareness and education programmes in the UAE.
Following the 3-kilometre Beat Diabetes Walk, participants have a full day of activities lined up for them. The Dubai Health Authority (DHA) will conduct free blood glucose testing for all participants through the day. The Beat Diabetes 10th Anniversary Carnival will continue through the day with several sports and kids’ activities. Choose from Zumba and Yoga lessons by Fitness First instructors, dance workouts and a special SuperKidz arena for the little members of the community.

Registration fees: AED20 per person older than 15 years, AED10 per child between 8 – 15 years, Free of charge for children under 8 years.
