Ministry of Health & Prevention tackles healthcare cooperation with Montenegro’s Ambassador to the UAE

image-1-1UAE, November 9, 2016 – Dr. Mohamed Salim Al Olama, Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Health and Prevention, recently met H.E Mr. Darko Uskokovic, Montenegro’s Ambassador to the UAE, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Abu Dhabi. The meeting was held in the presence of Dr. Essa Al Mansouri, Manager of the Undersecretary’s Office and Director of International Health Relations.

Both sides discussed launching joint efforts in the health field, embark on expertise, knowledge and training exchange programs especially for medical technicians, and reinforce their investment ties in healthcare discipline. An invitation to visit Montenegro’s Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation Center was extended to the Ministry during the meeting. Additionally, the two parties studied the possibility of facilitating cooperation between their respective pharmaceutical and medical supply companies and collaborating in terms of employment of medical staff from Montenegro in the UAE.

H.E. said that the meeting has further reinforced the two countries’ healthy bilateral relations. After inviting the Ambassador to the Arab Health Exhibition and Conference 2017 in Dubai, the Emirati official highlighted the Ministry’s achievements and its role in ensuring health security in the country’s thriving medical sector. H.E. also shared the country’s international experiences and milestones in globally promoting the UAE as a secure and healthy society.image-2-1

The Ambassador, on the other hand, praised the Arab country for its modern health infrastructure, topnotch medical services and techniques, and state-of-the-art health equipment that meet international standards. He expressed Montenegro’s aspiration to bring the two countries’ relations to the next level. Lastly, he praised the UAE’s capabilities to host prestigious global medical conferences and exhibitions.
