The 8th Annual Autism around the World Conference 2018 is to be held on May 3-5, 2018 under the theme “Behavioral Science, Technology and Strategies for Successful Inclusion”, at the Roda Al Bustan Hotel, Dubai, UAE.
Organized by Child Early Intervention Medical Center (CEIMC), in collaboration with King Salman Center for Disability Research, Dubai Healthcare City and Maharat Learning Center, The Autism around the World Conference will host 30 prominent national and international speakers and leading experts including behavioral scientists, academics and technology specialists from the United Arab Emirates, United States of America and the Gulf Region, invited to speak on the most up-to-date, research-based answers to the most frequent questions that arise in everyday practice relating to behavioral science, technology and inclusion.
In its 8th cycle, the objectives of this year’s conference are to:-
1. Review latest research and strategies in Applied Behavioral Science to support students of determination and assist educators regionally and internationally.
2. Discuss and review tried and tested strategies for inclusion and best practice inclusion models to enable individuals on the Autism Spectrum.
3. Explore the future of technological development to support the inclusion of children and adults with learning difficulties, Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) and other developmental delays in schools, universities and the community.
4. Raise awareness and share knowledge on the importance of using social media, online resources and virtual reality as positive technology tools to improve inclusion.
5. Sharing the knowledge and expertise of professionals within the field of special education, behavioral science, technology and inclusion.
6. Enabling professionals through lectures and workshops with skills and continuous education to apply on a day to day basis.
Over the 3 days, participants will attend lectures, presentations, workshops and panel discussions, in both English and Arabic, on recent updates in early intervention, prevention, diagnosis and treatment and the use of technology and behavioral science to get maximum benefits for today’s learners. Topics include Behavioral Management, Social Communication using Technology, ABA Strategies for Successful Inclusion, Robotics, Apps for Autism, Function Based Interventions, the Science of Behavior Analysis and many more. the 3-day program will focus on the latest evidence-based Applied Behavioral Analysis techniques and the combination of today’s technology and best practice in teaching skills and adopting successful models for inclusion.
