DUBAI, UNITED ARAB EMIRATES – 23 August 2015 – Hyatt Place brand continues to cement its position in the UAE with the appointment of Vishal Mehra as the General Manager and Pranav Vohra as the Director of Sales for the recently opened Hyatt Place Dubai/Baniyas Square and Hyatt Place Dubai/Al Rigga, first of its kind in the Middle East

Under their leadership and expertise of the local market, the Hyatt Place brand is now well established in the trading hub of Deira, driving international traders to the country. The opening of Hyatt Place Dubai/Baniyas Square marks the second Hyatt Place hotel in the Middle East and adds to the robust portfolio of the six Hyatt-branded hotels in Dubai.

Vishal MehraWith over 15 years’ experience with Hyatt, Vishal led the opening of the first Hyatt Place hotel in the Middle East in 2014, establishing the Hyatt Place Brand concept in the local marketplace. As General Manager, Vishal’s international knowledge of opening, operating and managing hotels helped him lead and train Hyatt Place’s unique cross functional team.

Vishal began his career with Hyatt Regency, Delhi in 1995 and progressed to being a part of the pre-opening team for Grand Hyatt Dubai in 2002. Vishal was later promoted as Director of Rooms at Hyatt Regency Dushanb and was transferred in the same capacity to Hyatt Capital Gate in 2010. Prior to Vishal’s current role, he was deputed for the take-over of Park Hyatt Maldives Hadahaa in 2011.

Pranav VohraPranav, who has spent over 10 years with Hyatt, has immense knowledge of the trade market across the globe with special focus on GCC, Germany, Italy, Africa, Asia namely China and Japan and CIS. In his role as Director of Sales, Pranav excels in building and influencing multi-cultural sales and marketing teams to achieve first-rate results in challenging, intensely competitive, continuously evolving markets.

From his role in Guest Services back in 2005 to Associate Director of Sales – Corporate & Leisure Markets in 2012 at Grand Hyatt Dubai, and now to his role within the Hyatt Place brand, Pranav is a strong asset to the Hyatt family.
