Commenting on the DHA partnership with the organisers of IMTEC, Dr Layla Mohamed AlMarzouqi, Director, Health Regulation Department, DHA, says “Medical Tourism is a field that is seeing tremendous growth.  Dubai offers an array of excellent medical services across various fields of healthcare. Factors such as Dubai’s strong position on the world tourism map, excellent infrastructure, translation services, hospitality and recreational services in Dubai are added factors that have helped strengthen the Emirate’s position on the world tourism map.

This conference presents an opportunity to showcase the services that both the private and the public health sector have to offer for medical tourists. It’s an also opportunity to share experiences and knowledge base with medical tourism providers across the region and globally.

“Our participation at IMTEC 2015 is the perfect opportunity for us to boost our profile and showcase our expertise in performing all major complex orthopaedic operations. As a world leader in medical tourism, our partnership with Dubai Health Authority has been extremely fruitful and allowed us to enrich our learning experience for the benefit of our patients,” says Dr Sam Tarabichi, Medical Director Burjeel Hospital for Advanced Surgery.

More than 35 speakers will gather at IMTEC next week to discuss how various sectors beyond the traditional healthcare sector have developed and marketed health improvement oriented services. The case studies presented will illustrate how the hospitality and wellness industries are moving towards healthcare and how non-invasive approaches have already been incorporated. Industry experts believe that the wellness sector will play a bigger role in the medical tourism industry especially since evidence-based medicine and traditional healing approaches have become more popular globally.

Prime Hospital, which is a part of Prime Healthcare group in Dubai, will be one of the hospital groups present at IMTEC to showcase various medical tourism packages that include medical procedures such as rhinoplasty, breast Lift, breast reduction, face lift, tummy tuck, liposuction, breast augmentation, Gastric Sleeve and Gastric Bypass.

“IMTEC is a key platform for us to showcase our profile with the vast array of medical services and facilities. We are proud to participate as this will surely be a vital catalyst towards raising further awareness and knowledge sharing in the realm of medical tourism”, says Dr Jamil Ahmed, Managing Director, Prime Healthcare Group, Dubai, UAE.
