Dubai Business Women Council organizes inspiring event to support cancer patients

Dubai: Dubai Business Women Council (DBWC) recently hosted an interactive panel discussion in collaboration with Abtaluna, a Social Enterprise dedicated to supporting families with children facing cancer. The event, held in honor of World Cancer Day and International Childhood Cancer Day, aimed to provide support and inspiration to families affected by the disease.

A diverse panel of speakers, including Aisha Al Mulla Director of Friends of Cancer Patients Foundation (FOCP), Dr. Grace Nehme from CMC Hospital, Heba Salem from Sage Clinic, and Lamya Gabr from Majlis Al Amal Al Jalila Foundation, shared their personal experiences and insights on diagnosis, treatment, and overcoming cancer. The discussion was expertly moderated by Lama Andari, the Founder of Abtaluna Social Enterprise.

Nadine Halabi, Business Development Manager at DBWC, underscored the importance of collaborative efforts to address the impact of cancer on individuals and families. She emphasized the event’s goal of raising awareness about cancer prevention and fostering a collective commitment to protecting life.
