Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates – 9 December 2016: Inspiring budding chefs and eager food enthusiasts across the emirate’s capital, Abu Dhabi Food Festival (ADFF) presents a full programme of interactive events and activations for families in several participating malls throughout Abu Dhabi.

Highlighting some of the most delectable dishes while providing full-time entertainment for young aspiring cooks, these events will entail colourful characters from popular television shows beloved by children across the UAE. Children will have the chance to meet and cook alongside some of their favourite Nickelodeon characters such as Dora the Explorer and Spongebob Squarepants at the ADFF ‘Kitchen Mission’ events.

The ‘Kitchen Mission’ will entail various themed workshops and interactive games performed onstage for children and families to enjoy together. These one-of-a-kind ‘Kitchen Mission’ activations will take place from 8 to 10 December at Marina Mall from 5pm to 9pm, and from 21 to 23 December at Western Hotel, Al Gharbia also from 5pm to 9pm.

Entertaining options for enthusiastic chefs-to-be just don’t end there, as children will also have the opportunity to interact with everyone’s favourite fictional group of pizza fans – the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The world-famous characters will be making an appearance to share in the fun and cook alongside participating children from 15 to 17 December at Al Bawadi Mall, Al Ain from 5pm to 9pm.

Rounding off the exciting offerings provided by ADFF’s fun-filled programme for participating malls are two fantastic food and comedy shows that will be touring the emirate with their hilarious interactive performances for three days during the festival. ‘Raoul the Pizza Guy’ and ‘Sweet Dreams’ will be performing across Yas Mall, World Trade Centre, Galleria National Towers, Delma Mall and Al Ain Mall from 8 to 16 December.

Spread over 19 days and taking in three weekends from 5 to 23 December across the emirate, ADFF will attract both residents and visitors alike to enjoy not only cuisine from some of the best chefs on the planet, but also some of the most scrumptious food-related experiences available anywhere in the world today, complete with themed dinners, food trucks, live entertainment, celebrity chef cooking demonstrations, meet-and-greets, cook book signings and mall activations that will delight families, children and a broad array of food enthusiasts.
