Conceive Gynaecology & Fertility Hospital opens new JLT branch

ConceiveConceive, the Gynaecology and Fertility Hospital that has helped over 2900 babies enter the world since July 2004, has just opened its newest branch in Dubai’s Jumeirah Lake Towers (JLT). The launch on May 5th 2014 brings Conceive’s decade-long experience in fertility treatments to a brand new audience to help more couples become parents.

The launch was held under the patronage of Chief Guest H.H. Sheikh Saaed Maktoum Juma Al Maktoum and Guest of Honour Ahmed Bin Sulayem, Executive Chairman of DMCC. Dignitaries and attendees were entertained by a packed schedule of artists and performances and had the opportunity to mingle with the doctors and nurses and ask questions related to Infertility.

Conceive was established by Dr Pankaj Shrivastav in 2004, and has since been providing families in the UAE with comprehensive state of the art fertility treatments at its Sharjah branch. The hospital, with its mantra of “Let’s make you a family” excels not just in cutting edge Reproductive Medicine treatments but also innovations custom-made to the UAE market. In 2013, Conceive was incorporated under the Healthcare MENA Limited umbrella.

“It has been a privilege and a pleasure for us at Conceive to have played a role in completing so many families. Our approach to patients is holistic and tailored to each individual and specific conditions based on their lifestyles and genetic predisposition,” says Conceive’s founder Dr Pankaj Shrivastav. “For instance, academic research and field experience has made us aware that the UAE has a higher incidence of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) than other parts of the world and this then guides us in the way we treat our patients.”

The Conceive staff has an all-rounded and thorough approach to infertility concerns, offering both medical and emotional support to patients. The hospital is popular for its traditional remedies but also offers state-of-the-art fertility procedures derived from research centres the world over. Founder Dr Shrivastav has himself devised several new techniques, with his contributions to the field of Fertility Medicine including pioneering work in Ovarian Hyperstimulation and Surgical Retrieval of Sperm (PESA and TeSA). Both PESA and TeSA are now routine techniques in fertility units the world over.

Societal change is also part of Conceive’s remit, which is why the staff has created three blogs to engender a sense of community and online support whilst trying to combat the stigma attached to infertility. The three blogs – “Slow Swimmers & Fried Eggs”, “Woman 2 Woman” and “B Method – Fitness for Fertility” can all be found on the hospital’s website.

The launch of the new JLT branch coincides with Conceive’s 11th anniversary. “We’ve had a wonderful first decade. And we’re immensely excited and eagerly looking forward to the next decade. We’re here today because of the goodwill and support of so many of our patients and friends and I’m sure this will help us grow in the future”, concluded Dr Shrivastav.
