AXA Gulf Launches ‘Breast Cancer Awareness’ Campaign in the GCC

axaIn a step to reinforce its commitment to the community, AXA Gulf, one of the largest leading non-life international insurers in the region, has launched a Breast Cancer Awareness campaign in the GCC. Titled “Taking Actions to Fight Breast Cancer”, the campaign will educate consumers about the risks of breast cancer and the importance of early detection.

As part of this campaign, AXA Gulf will provide screening vouchers to its customers holding a valid insurance policy of any type in the UAE for breast x-ray mammography at International Modern Hospital (IMH) and NMC Healthcare medical centers. Customers will be able to obtain vouchers from AXA shops and branches or through their website www.axa-gulf.com.

In his comments, Jerome Droesch – CEO of AXA Insurance Gulf said: “We consider this campaign crucial towards the public and are proud to team up with leading medical providers to raise awareness, and support the cause during Breast Cancer Awareness month. We are hoping that our efforts will help spread the word and assist in combating this disease.”

The Breast cancer Campaign is part of AXA’s Corporate Responsibility and is integral to the company’s commitment to equipping individuals and society at large with a better understanding about the health risks faced by them.

Getting a mammogram can help reduce the number of deaths caused by breast cancer by 40% amongst women ages 40 to 74, especially for those over 50.1
