AXA customers who suffer from Immune Mediated Inflammatory Disease such as Rheumatoid Arthritis to be provided comprehensive support including free consultation, education and home delivery of medicines.
In a yet another industry first towards providing innovative healthcare services, AXA Gulf has launched a unique ‘Patient Support Program’ in the UAE that is focused on providing comprehensive support to patients suffering from IMID. The new program has been introduced in collaboration with AbbVie, a research-based biopharmaceutical company, where the deal was signed with AbbVie South Gulf represented by Sami Abi Nakhoul the General Manager, and Bayti Home Healthcare, a company dedicated to provide patients with the medication they require at home. The program was unveiled recently at an event that was attended by executives from Dubai Healthcare Authority and leading doctors from the UAE.
AXA Gulf’s newly introduced ‘Patient Support Program’ acknowledges the physical challenges that patients suffering from different IBD diseases and hence it has been designed to offer a host of valuable services that help the patient conveniently manage their treatment and recovery process. These include free consultation, education and timely delivery of prescribed medicines.

Education on early symptoms and management of the condition are hence key elements of the new ‘Patient Support Program’.

Registration to the ‘Patient Support Program’ is simple as all AXA customers will be automatically registered with Bayti, who will start educating patients regarding the various aspects of the illness besides also offering free consultations and free home delivery of medication.
In the near future, AXA Gulf plans to launch more patient support programs to cover different types of diseases and offer the best healthcare solutions to its customers.
