Aster Melodia introduces mothers and expectant mothers to music that brings them closer to their babies

aster-melodia-event_participantsDubai, United Arab Emirates, 04 October 2016: Aster Nurture organized the first ‘Aster Melodia’ session which aims at introducing mothers and expectant mothers to the tools and techniques for bonding with their babies through music. The event took place at Aster Hospital – Mankhool on Friday, September 30 and was attended by around 80 participants who took part in singing sessions, dancing and interactive activities. The program aimed to strengthen the connection between parents and children and improve children’s cognitive abilities.

Psychological and neuroscientific research has demonstrated that musical training in children is associated with the heightening of sound sensitivity as well as enhancement in verbal abilities and general reasoning skills.

The ‘Aster Melodia’ activity was organized by Aster Nurture program, which aims at nurturing, caring and protecting the mother and the new born baby from the time the mother conceives till the child is five years old. Aster Nurture conducts various programs to support parents, including prenatal yoga sessions for expectant mothers and Parents Connect, a weekly session for parents-to-be that provides guidance on the importance of exercise, diet and baby care.
