Dubai, United Arab Emirates, 14 November, 2017: Aster Chronic Care@Home joined forces with global pharmaceutical giant Novartis to sponsor 500 diabetic patients in the region, in recognition of their continued commitment to creating awareness and making disease management an easy process through innovative solutions. Aster Chronic Care@Home is an advanced personalized technology introduced by Aster DM Healthcare catering to improve individual control over chronic conditions like diabetes and hypertension.
The first of its kind, this corporate partnership grants 500 diabetic patients from across the region to register under Aster Chronic Care@Home. This partnership comes as a relief for those who are unable to access highly advanced machines and telehealth services. The registrants are provided with Diabetes and Blood Pressure monitoring devices, constant care monitoring and fast track services free of cost for one year. Upon conclusion of the free 1 year service, the patients will be provided service renewal at special discounted costs. Aster Chronic Care@ Home has already registered 100+ participants under the Novartis sponsorship.
As per reports from the International Diabetes Federation (IDF) 415 million people in the world suffer from Diabetes, out of which 35.4 million constitute the MENA region, these figures are estimated to rise to 72.1 million by the year 2040. Sedentary lifestyles, unhealthy dietary practices, obesity, etc. are the most common risk factors leading to the rise in the number of diabetics in the region. The situation demands prompt intervention from healthcare players from private and public sectors.
