The Abu Dhabi Police represented by the Finance and Services Directorate General, honored a number of officers, non-commissioned officers, constables and civilians for submitting distinguished proposals that were implemented during last year. The honoring ceremony was held at the Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters, in recognition of staff members’ efforts as part of their participation at the Minister of Interior’s Excellence Award for 2014, in the ‘Director General’ category.
Major General Khalil Dawood Badran, Director General of Finance and Services stressed the keenness of Lt. General HH Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, to honor distinguished and creative staff members. He also underscored His Highness great emphasis on the need to double the efforts to improve the quality of services provided to the public and to enhance the skills and competencies of the police staff members. “This falls in line with the priorities that the police leadership seeks constantly to achieve, so as to upgrade police and security work to the best international standards,” said Major General Badran. He also noted that the leadership examines all proposals with the aim of adopting the best proposals possible, in support of development and progress and in the service of the distinguished police institution.
The Director General of Finance and Services expressed his appreciation for this distinguished cohort of creative staff members and their innovative ideas and suggestions, which were implemented at the directorate. He also reiterated the higher leadership’s keenness to provide the appropriate work environment to encourage the adoption of such brilliant ideas and to recognize those who submit them, commensurate with their abilities and participations in advancing and upgrading police work.
The honorees expressed their appreciation for this accolade, which represents a motivation for staff members to submit innovative ideas and positive proposals that would contribute to developing the work environment and better serve the public and society.
The honoring ceremony was attended by Colonel Ahmad Saeed Al Badi, Deputy Director of Financial Affairs at the Finance and Services Directorate General and a number of Abu Dhabi Police officers.
