1 April, 2015: Meliá Doha, the first 5* Spanish hotel in Qatar, invites guests to sample an authentic taste of Spain with the opening of Aceite, their lively Spanish restaurant. The launch event, which was attended by distinguished guests including the Spanish Ambassador, showcased their original modern menu of both traditional tapas, served with a twist, and contemporary Andalusia cuisine.
As its name implies, Aceite, is an affair of Spanish gastronomy that showcases the countries rich and exciting cuisine, accompanied by the warmest hospitality. The extensive menu takes guests on a tasty culinary journey, with highlights including Lobster and Octopus salad and Garbanzo Beans with King Prawns. Each dish is perfect for sharing, meaning guests can enjoy a feast with family and friends or a more intimate and romantic meal with a loved one.
For those looking for an entertaining evening can head to Aceite’s bar where a selection of tapas and Sangria will be served, complete with a charming ambiance that befits its fun character. For guests seeking a more decadent, leisurely meal can try Aceite’s A la carte menu which includes Spanish favourites such as grilled lamb chops and Codfish with homemade tomato and mint sauce.
Inspired by Spanish bodegas, the restaurant seats 65 people, and focuses on creating a friendly and buzzing atmosphere. With it’s laidback style of soft wood and mood lights, Aciete is the ideal choice for both expats and locals looking for a night out on the town.
The restaurant highlights the culinary influence of the Middle East to Spain, as the Arabic presence over large parts of Ancient Spain introduced the use of olive oil, ‘Aceite’. Now this key ingredient is used in nearly every dish on this modern restaurant’s menu.
From menú and music to décor and drinks, everything at Aceite has been designed to bring a welcoming taste of España to Doha.
The restaurant will open daily for lunch and dinner. For reservations, please call 00 (974) 401 99999.
