The 2nd Abu Dhabi International Conference in Dermatology and Aesthetics (AIDA) a resounding success

8eaa5a7d51e18bef_orgAbu Dhabi, UAE: November 19, 2016 – The 2ND Abu Dhabi International Conference in Dermatology and Aesthetics held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC) over the course of three days successfully concluded. The Event was organized by a Committee comprising of Dr. Khaled Othman, Conference Chairman and Consultant Dermatology Advanced Center for Daycare Surgery, Abu Dhabi, UAE, Professor Zuhair Al Fardan, Conference Co-Chair, Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon, Asst. Prof. Department of Surgery at the UAE University and CMHS Medical Director Eternal Clinic and Dr. Yasser Elassiuty, MD, Conference General Secretary, Consultant Dermatology and Venerology and CEO at Iris Medical Center, Abu Dhabi, UAE.

The Conference was held in conjunction with The International Master Course on Aging Skin (IMCAS), The International Board of Cosmetic Surgery (IBCS), The International Academy of Cosmetic Surgery (IACS), The European Society of Laser Dermatology (ESLD), The International Cosmetic Congress (ICC) and the International Medical Academy.

Over the course of three days, leading Dermatologists, Plastic Surgeons and Skin Care Specialties from across the Gulf, the Middle East and the world came together to discuss topics ranging from Art of Rejuvenation of the Skin, Fillers, Fat Grafting and Suspension Threads, Anti-Aging in Aesthetics, Updates in Pigmentary Disorders, Minimal Invasive Aesthetic as well as the hot topics in Dermatology currently. The event also brought together a great number of world class teaching faculty and thought leaders to share their expertise in the fields of Dermatology, Aesthetic Medicine, Plastic Surgery, Cosmetics, Laser Technology and Anti-Aging Medicine giving other experts the opportunity to deepen their skills to enhance their medical practices.

Alongside the conference, a series of workshops discussing medical, surgical, cosmetic techniques, plenary sessions, meet the expert sessions which highlighted the latest technologies in the field of Dermatology, Aesthetic Medicine, Plastic Surgery and Cosmetics, Anti-Aging and Laser Technology also took place. More than 45 international speakers from 35 countries provided the latest updates in their respective fields starting in the18 workshops that took place.

In his welcome note, Dr. Khaled Othman said, “Today’s conference reflects the strong joint efforts, as well as the commitment of the members of our society to reviewing new techniques and technologies related to the most recent advances in Dermatology, Aesthetic Medicine and Plastic Surgery which continues to expand and grow rapidly. Most importantly it is further evidence of the considerable momentum of building up regional and international cooperation.”

In his speech, Dr. Khaled also took the opportunity to announce AIDA 2017 scheduled to take place from October 5thto the 7thnext year. He also announced the first edition of the AIDA International Awards.

“The committee is planning to present AIDA International Awards for the Best Case Study, Best Laser Practice and Best Aesthetic Presentation at the conference in 2017,” he said.
