Sharjah Book Authority (SBA), organisers of Sharjah Children’s Reading Festival (SCRF), will be unveiling the 11th edition’s agenda details on Tuesday, March 26, at a press conference at SBA’s headquarters in Sharjah, staring 6:30pm.
The upcoming edition of the region’s largest scale 11-day literary festival dedicated to children and youth is scheduled to take place from April 17–27, at Expo Centre Sharjah.
The event is organised under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and under the patronage of his wife, Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Chairperson of Supreme Council for Family Affairs (SCFA).
The festival details will be shared with members of media and other attendees by HE Ahmed bin Rakkad Al Ameri, Chairman of SBA, and Khoula Al Mujaini, Director of Fairs and Festivals at SBA.
They will be talking about seminars, panel discussions, creative and artistic workshops, the Sharjah Children’s Book Illustrations Exhibition, and side-line activities that will be featured during the 11th edition of SCRF. They will also reveal names of renowned children’s and YA authors, artists, publishers and literary experts, who will be partaking in the upcoming festival.
SBA spokespersons have encouraged media, publishers, writers, intellectuals, cultural organisations, children’s entities, and the public to attend.
SCRF is one of the most important cultural events dedicated to children in the UAE and greater region. It has gone beyond being a book exhibition and developed into an integrated event that contributes to enriching the knowledge of visitors with science and literature, and garners the participation of organisations and centres dedicated to children.
