“Being a gynecologist was not part of my plan or fruition of a dream. I chose to be one, following in the footsteps of my elder sister who I always emulated. However, if given a choice today, I would not choose anything else. My profession has given me an insight not just into a woman’s physical body and its issues, but a deeper look into the working of a woman’s mind as well. As a woman I have personally undergone all the challenges of teenage years, pregnancy and childhood and the challenges of motherhood and so on. Therefore, I have this great empathy that gives me an insight into the mind of the women who come to me. At the end of the day, we are not just treating the body, but a whole person who is a wife, mother, sister, and daughter. “
