Dubai Health Authority (DHA) recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dar Al Ber Society at the DHA headquarters.

The MoU strengthens the long-standing cooperation between the two entities and aims to boost efforts to assist underprivileged patients who cannot afford treatment.

The MoU was signed by His Excellency Humaid Al Qutami, Director General of the DHA and Abdullah Ali Bin Zayed Al Falasi, Executive Director of Dar Al Ber Society.

Al Qatami said that humanitarian initiatives have always held an important place at the DHA and that the DHA’s new organizational structure has a dedicated Health Fund Department, which has an expanded mandate to provide medical assistance and support to patients with financial difficulties. The department’s role is to focus on humanitarian initiatives in the medical field.

Al Falasi said the MoU will further boost cooperation between the two entities in the humanitarian field. He praised the ongoing “Well of Water” campaign, which is taking place in the memory of the Founding Father of the UAE, late Sheikh Zayed Bin Sultan Al Nahyan.

As part of the campaign, DHA employees are contributing to build 100 wells to provide clean drinking water to families in countries of need.
DHA has collaborated with Dar Al Ber Society and the Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department to build 100 wells in areas where communities suffer from a lack of access to clean, safe water.
