UAE, April 20, 2016 – H.E. Dr. Amin Hussein Al Amiri, Assistant Undersecretary for Public Policy and Licensing of the Ministry of Health and Prevention, has met separately with numerous dealers and Ministry staff as part of the ‘An Hour with An Official’ initiative launched to get the feedback of stakeholders and assess their satisfaction about the quality of health services being provided by the Ministry-run facilities. The initiative is aligned with the ongoing efforts to ensure the happiness of the Ministry’s customers and employees.
During the meetings, H.E. explained the comprehensive services provided by the Public Health and Licensing Policy Sector, particularly the Health Advertising and Medical and Pharmaceutical Licenses. The latter issues licenses to medical practitioners as well as medical and pharmaceutical facilities in less than 24 hours as part of the strategy to continuously develop the local health policies and legislations through the evaluation of all medical practitioners, specialties, and health assistance. He called on all concerned departments to take into consideration the suggestions made to further improve the procedures and processes within the Ministry.
He emphasized that the Ministry is committed to regularly enhance its services, simplify its procedures, and speed up its processes to make its customers happy, boost their confidence in the provided services, achieve excellence in values, and promote teamwork and social responsibility.
H.E. Dr. Al Amiri said: “The UAE Government aims to ensure that health services in the country are of high quality to build the trust between the Ministry of Health and Prevention and its stakeholders. Through the initiative, we also emphasize the importance of our dealers as key partners in delivering and improving local healthcare services. We aspire for innovations to meet expectations and requirements, provide the best health services, address challenges, and identify and strengthen opportunities.”
He added that more than 85 per cent of the special licensing procedures as well as the services of health and pharmaceutical branches and medical staff of various disciplines are now available online using electronic smart systems.
