Dubai Pharmacy College for Girls (DPCG) was the first college established in 1992 in the United Arab Emirates.
DPCG is committed to provide accredited pharmacy education to undergraduate and graduate level students, based on the advancement of pharmaceutical knowledge through research and community service to serve the pharmacy profession, the scientific community and public.
The college’s vision is to serve the healthcare community by nurturing competent and professional pharmacists while promoting a learning environment that fosters innovation, leadership, continued professional development and quality assurance making DPC one of the leading institutions for Pharmacy education in the world, which is why the college worked on the first course in the UAE dedicated to pharma regulatory affairs.
Regulatory affairs as a course/subject, was never given in the UAE, for pharma students, and because of the high demand from the students, and due to the growth of the regulatory affairs field, and since DPC with the Dean Prof. Saeed Ahmed Khan are always having their research and board members active on development; they decide to implement it.
The program includes courses which prepare students to become competent pharmacists with an up-to-date course requirement. Regulatory Affairs (RA) as a course, was never offered in the UAE for pharmacy students.
With the support of the founding member and Dean of DPCG, Prof. Saeed Ahmed Khan implemented the RA course to the final year students of BPharm to make them ready for career opportunities in the pharmacy sector.
It has been approved by the Commission of Academic Accreditation – Ministry of Education – Higher Education Affairs, UAE and the Accreditation Council for Pharmacy Education (ACPE). USA.
With her experience and expertise in the domain; Dr. Mona Al Moussli, alumni of DPCG, Managing Director and Co-Founder of Professional Regulatory Affairs (PRA) Consultancy was in charge of designing and delivering the RA course.
