Kintsugi Celebrates Imperfection With Perfect Yoga Offerings

– Classes for all from AED11 per day at Japanese-inspired studio
– Only studio in Dubai with a salt room
– Hula-hoop, swing, kids and Arabic sessions available

Yoga should be accessible to all, regardless of age, ability or income – that’s the message from Dubai’s newest yoga studio, Kintsugi, the only studio in the city featuring a salt room, which offers a range of health and wellness benefits. The innovative space is now offering incredible discounted packages as a special opening offer, for a limited time.

“Kintsugi” is the ancient traditional Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with a lacquer made of powdered gold, silver, or platinum, celebrating imperfection with a philosophy that the cracks reveal the history of an object, rather than being something to disguise. The Kintsugi studio takes this idea and applies it to human wellbeing. We all have our ‘cracks’’ or faults, but through a wide variety of yoga and meditation practices available at the Business Bay tower, we can heal while celebrating our differences.

The studio opened in September with a series of free, open-to-all yoga and mediation sessions. Now, in October, the studio’s philosophy and style is already making a big impact on Dubai society, especially given the incredible membership offers available this month only, underlining the space’s ‘open-to-all’ philosophy.
Studio manager Anjaan, himself a yogi, martial artiste and healer, said: “We have had such a warm response from our customers since we opened in September. People love the Himalayan rock salt room and our wide variety of yoga classes and meditations sessions. Some people have even just come for healing and relaxation. At Kintsugi, we offer something for everyone who is interested in improving their overall wellbeing and health, whatever their age, ability or fitness level. No prior yoga experience is required.”

There’s a very special limited membership promotion running until the end of October. Take advantage of a Zen annual pack – that’s unlimited classes across the whole studio – for just AED3999, instead of AED9000. That means you can take a daily class for less than AED11!

Join on an unlimited six-month package, with a six month ‘Zen’ package (unlimited classes across all rooms) offered at just AED2499, rather than AED6200; or an ‘Origami’ package (unlimited classes, except for the Zen Salt Room) for AED2249, rather than AED5400.

Kintsugi is the only yoga studio in Dubai featuring a Himalayan rock salt room, where you can enjoy a variety of different yoga and meditation classes with the added health benefits of breathing in the salty air.

“We are excited to offer such a wide variety of classes – in English, Arabic and Hindi, for pregnant people, for athletes and the unfit, for the elderly and for teens. Kintsugi is a place where we want everyone to feel welcome,” adds Anjaan.

There’s also daily swing yoga classes – where participants can move with greater freedom thanks to suspended hammocks that allows class goers to find length in the spine and safe alignment in postures. Little ones and teens can also benefit from special packages in October. Kinstugi offers a fun class for those little yogis that helps children stretch, strengthen, relax and have a good time in a non-competitive environment. They learn how to focus on their breath and learn mindfulness practices in easy and fun ways.

Teen yoga gives teenagers the chance to develop strength, flexibility and comfort in their bodies. It helps them learn to regulate their mental and emotional states, and in turn relieve stress to promote better focus, clarity, and creativity.

The end of October will see the ground-breaking Business Bay studio hosting two free hour-long yoga sessions at the opening weekend of Dubai Fitness Challenge at Dubai Festival City. Check the Kintsugi website for more details, but the sessions will take place between 4pm and 11pm on Friday October 26, and 1pm and 8pm on Saturday October 27.
