Community Cycling Event Takes Place on Saturday, 28 April
The final event of this season of “Cycle for Health UAE” will take place on Saturday, 28 April, offering residents a last chance to take part before the summer heat begins.
The monthly event, organized by Cleveland Clinic Abu Dhabi and The Department of Health, is a great opportunity for residents to get active. Visitors can borrow bikes and helmets and cycle through Zayed Sports City Stadium and around the surrounding area at the free event.
The 1.9km course allows riders to cycle in a safe and controlled environment, away from traffic. Individual coaching and riding lessons are available for children and those who are less confident riding bikes.
“Cycle for Health UAE” also features a children’s play area, a chill-out zone for all ages and a range of healthy food options to highlight the importance of diet in promoting health.
Visitor parking is provided at Zayed Sports City Stadium, free of charge.
Held in partnership with Healthpoint and Imperial College London Diabetes Centre, “Cycle for Health UAE” has lead a number of Abu Dhabi residents to take a positive step for their health by getting active.
