Angola Ministry of Health, DOCKTOUR Sign Strategic MoU to Strengthen Healthcare Infrastructure and Services

• The MoU is focused on improving healthcare delivery, building modern medical infrastructure, and reinforcing supply chain systems in Angola.

Luanda, Angola / Abu Dhabi, UAE: DOCKTOUR, the joint maritime-medical venture between AD Ports Group and Burjeel Holdings, has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Angola to explore a broad collaboration aimed at enhancing the delivery of healthcare services, developing modern medical infrastructure, and strengthening supply chain capabilities in Angola. The MoU was signed by Dr. Benedito Hernani Da Silva Quinta, Director of Nacional dos Hospitals, Mr. Mohamed Eidha Al Menhali, Regional CEO of AD Ports Group, and Mr. Safeer Ahamed, Co-CEO of Burjeel Holdings. Following the signing, the DOCKTOUR delegation paid a courtesy visit to Her Excellency Dr. Silvia Lutucuta, Minister of Health of Angola.

The MoU sets the stage for the health ministry and DOCKTOUR to work together on key areas of development that will support Angola’s ambition to expand its healthcare system. This includes cooperation in the provision of logistics and supply chain services for the transportation of medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, and healthcare supplies, as well as the joint development and management of hospitals.

It will also explore the digitalization of logistics-related healthcare services to increase efficiency and transparency, co-investment in projects of shared interest, and the identification of additional opportunities in Angola and other markets across Africa.

For Angola, this collaboration will ensure faster and more reliable movement of life-saving medicines and equipment to hospitals and clinics across the country. The introduction of digitalized logistics services is expected to optimize resource allocation, reduce wastage, and ensure that healthcare providers can respond more effectively to community needs.
