Following in the successful footsteps of their inaugural Jazz@PizzaExpress outlet in Dubai’s JLT, one of the world’s leading casual dining and consumer brands is now taking their unique PizzaExpress proposition to the UAE’s capital called TheJazzRoom@PizzaExpress.

Contracts were officially signed on 31 July to secure a 700m squared space on the fifth floor of the World Trade Centre Mall, which will be home to the very first TheJazzRoom@PizzaExpress in Abu Dhabi. The space will have both an indoor seating area and an outdoor terrace.

Located in the Old Central Market area, which traditionally was and still is the heart of shopping in the Capital, the 60,000m squared shopping centre which opened in August last year, features more than 180 boutiques and dining outlets, an eight-screen cinema complex and several outside landscaped terraces and rooftop gardens.

According to a report produced by the international property consultancy CBRE at the end of 2013, Abu Dhabi ranked number ten on a list of global cities with the most retail space under development. When it opens its doors in Q4 of this year, the newest addition to the PizzaExpress family in the UAE will have the capacity to cater for up to 220 diners at any one time.

“With the popularity and success we have experienced in Dubai, we felt that Abu Dhabi was the next logical destination, largely because it has a thriving food, beverage and hospitality market. We believe there is more than sufficient demand and the right target audience for our unique concept”, explained Anand Radia, MD of PizzaExpress UAE.

The licensed restaurant will allow diners to indulge in an array of authentic Italian dishes whilst enjoying top live musical entertainment – both local and international. It will become the eighth PizzaExpress outlet to open in the UAE.

“The PizzaExpress vision and experience has provided many thousands of diners in Dubai with something very different and we now want to bring this to the capital. On top of the wide selection of dishes on our menu, there is no doubt the caliber of musicians and artistes we attract has been integral to our growth”, continued Radia.
