Dubai, UAE: From September 28 to October 29, Al Khawaneej Walk contributed to raising awareness on breast cancer in the UAE. Bringing the community together, the destination hosted a series of themed children’s arts and crafts workshops, while the American Hospital Clinics offered a 50 percent discount on screening packages for mammograms and ultrasounds.
Under the supervision of artists at a dedicated breast cancer-themed stand, children visiting the mall enjoyed a number of fun-filled, educational activities. They crafted pink accessories such as bracelets, with the word’s ‘hope’ and ‘strength’, as well as pink ribbon pins and kindness rocks, which featured painted words of inspiration.
The campaign sought to provide a platform for awareness through creative expression for children and opportunities for screening for adults, highlighting the importance of early detection to support the global fight against this disease.
