Fakih IVF Fertility Center kicked off the 7th edition of the UAE Reproductive Symposium today in Dubai. The symposium brought together leading sector experts to share the latest advances in reproductive medicine, supporting the vision of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, to make Dubai a global hub for medical excellence.

Dr Michael Fakih, Medical Director of Fakih IVF Dubai and Abu Dhabi, commented: “Since its inception in 2012, the UAE Reproductive Symposium has grown to become a crucial and highly respected platform for discussing the most important issues in our field, providing professionals in this field with an opportunity to work together to significantly improve their treatments and practises. The medical progress taking place in this sector is astounding and it is our duty to keep abreast of it so that we can help patients across the country and also position the UAE as a global leader in fertility and reproductive medicine.”

The symposium engaged a wide range of attendees including obstetricians, gynaecologists, urologists, infertility specialists, embryologists, lab personnel, nurses and trainees via a comprehensive agenda that discussed new techniques and treatment modalities in reproductive medicine, identified current clinical challenges in reproductive medicine and in-vitro fertilisation, and evaluated methods for individualising treatments based thereon.

This year’s agenda explored both female and male infertility via keynote speeches including ‘Stem Cell Therapy of Female Infertility: The Last Frontier’, ‘Male Infertility & Somatic Health: Nature or Nurture?’, ‘Updates in the Management of Male Infertility’, ‘Providing Optimal Fertility Treatment for the Patient with PCOS’ and ‘Recent Advances in Uterine Fibroid Treatment for your Infertile Patient’.

Dr. Michael Fakih concluded: “The UAE Reproductive Symposium has grown from a regional event into a respected global forum and we look forward to once again meeting with our peers to share knowledge that will improve the lives of hopeful parents not only in our region but across the world.”
