A children’s workshop at the Sharjah International Book Fair, being held at Expo Centre Sharjah, has been introducing young visitors to the beauty of science. Using household items, the workshop showed children the principles of diffusion with tissue paper and food dye, centrifugal force using a spinning top and electrical circuits using simple conductors and insulators.
The experiments helped to replace the daunting labels of ‘chemistry’ and ‘physics’ with ‘curiosity’ and ‘fun’.
