Dubai, UAE: H.E. Ahmed Ali Al Sayegh, Minister of Health and Prevention, affirmed that Emirati women enjoy a firmly established place in the UAE’s journey, thanks to the vision of the wise leadership, which has empowered women, expanded opportunities for their contribution and strengthened their role in national development. This commitment has been further advanced by H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, the ‘Mother of the Nation’, through a longstanding record of pioneering initiatives dedicated to enhancing the status of women. Today, Emirati women play an active and influential role across diverse fields of development, combining their national and family responsibilities and representing a source of strength for society and a key contributor to the UAE’s continued progress.
H.E. added that the Emirati Women’s Day theme, ‘Together, We Emerge Stronger and Better’, carries a national significance that reflects confidence in women’s ambition and determination, as well as in the broader opportunities the future offers them for creativity and leadership. He noted that the ‘Mother of the Nation’s 50:50 Vision’ charts a path worthy of the aspirations of Emirati women, grounded in merit and equal opportunity. This enables women to continue making an impactful contribution to national priorities and to turn ambition into achievements that further strengthen the UAE’s global competitiveness.
H.E. explained that the healthcare sector continues to strengthen the presence of highly qualified Emirati women across all disciplines, from medicine and nursing to public health and administration. Women are assuming influential responsibilities and contributing to the development of policies and services and the achievement of national objectives. He stressed that the Ministry of Health and Prevention provides Emirati women with broad opportunities for professional and leadership growth and takes pride in their contributions to advancing prevention, innovation and preparedness, while enhancing community health and quality of life across the UAE.
