Dubai, UAE: In response to ongoing travel disruptions affecting movement across the region, Metabolic, a UAE-based metabolic health clinic, is offering rapid access medical consultations for individuals who may be temporarily stranded in the UAE and without access to essential medications or care.
Unexpected travel interruptions can pose significant risks for people managing chronic conditions such as diabetes, hypertension, thyroid disorders, and other metabolic health issues, particularly when medications, monitoring tools, or regular medical support are disrupted. Many endocrine and hormonal medications, and medical devices, are difficult to source, and our approach was always to have enough stock immediately available as a standard operating model.
Metabolic’s medical team is able to expedite consultations and assist with:
- Rapid access consultations (online or in-clinic) to help stabilize chronic conditions
- Medication continuity and temporary prescription support, including controlled medications where appropriate
- Home or hotel visits for metabolic panel checks
- Help with set up of critical medical devices (such as insulin pumps) that might be
configured to another region - Guidance from physicians and lifestyle coaches on managing sleep disruption, stress,
hydration, and nutrition during periods of uncertainty
The clinic also confirms it currently has adequate supply of critical medications and devices, including insulin, continuous glucose monitors (CGMs), insulin pumps, GLPs and other difficult to source hormonal medications (including controlled medications and compounded options), to support patients who may unexpectedly find themselves without access to their usual care.
The initiative aims to help ensure that individuals experiencing unexpected travel delays can safely maintain continuity of care until they are able to return home.
