Abu Dhabi, 14 February 2017: If you would like to enjoy a day in Spain without ever leaving Abu Dhabi, head over to Sheraton Abu Dhabi Hotel & Resort on Friday, 3 of March. Adding another exciting event to the capital’s calendar, the hotel’s Spanish tapas restaurant, Bravo has just launched its brand new Taste of Spain festival. Mediterranean foodies will gather on the hotel’s sandy beach from 6pm until 2am to celebrate everything Spanish. Entry is free and guests of all ages are welcome.
Adding a genuine flair of Catalan cooking to the festivities, Bravo will be introducing Chef Jordi Gimeno from Barcelona as a special guest. Chef Gimeno is bringing more than 25 years of culinary experience to the table as well as a resume of leading several European restaurants featured in the Michelin Guide. He is a well-known expert in his field who frequently holds workshops and Spanish food festivals around the world.

Featuring live cooking stations, Chef Jordi and his team will tempt your senses with a variety of paellas (seafood, black rice, sea & mountain combination) and freshly cooked garlic shrimps. As for the main courses, tuna with capsicum sauce, Valencian fideuà (a dish similar to seafood paella but using noodles instead of rice), roast shoulder of lamb, sole fish and beef sirloin in an orange, chili and garlic sauce will satisfy your every craving.
Dessert aficionados can indulge Churros with chocolate, Crema Catalana, tatin of orange & peach, Tarta de Santiago (almond cake), Leche frita (fried milk), Torrijas (similar to French toast) and Panellets (marzipan cookies). Sangrias with several different flavours plus Spanish cocktails, liquors, wines and cava will complete the offering.
Unlimited buffet is available for AED 135 per person. Buffet with free-flow of Sangria costs AED 175 per person. All other drinks are sold as per consumption.
Relaxing on the sandy shores of the hotel’s lagoon, guests can enjoy live music from Bravo’s resident Latin guitar player, Richar Gimenez as well as passionate flamenco dance performances.
