Dubai, UAE. September 25, 2017 – Even more celebrities and influencers have confirmed participation in the charitable initiative combining the expertise of concept store LE66 Dubai and Friends of Cancer Patients (FoCP) that is to be launched this October. Style influencer Nina Zandnia, Emirati entrepreneur, motivational speaker and FoCP Board Member Anas Bukhash, Olympic diver Maxim Bouchard, and independent art retailers Drawdeck have all joined the unique event, merging catwalk fashion with charitable contributions, in order to make a real difference to women and men affected by cancer, with 100% of profits going directly to FoCP.

The collaboration draws attention to breast cancer awareness and the annual ‘Movember’ campaign, a global initiative highlighting issues surrounding men’s health. Celebrities, brands, and social media influencers will play various roles from designing custom t-shirts to giving inspirational talks.

The fashion designers include well-known names in the UAE such as fashion entrepreneur, digital influencer and media persona, Rosemin Manji, and Emirati entrepreneur, motivational speaker and FoCP Board Member Anas Bukhash.

W Gents Salon founder Omar Al Busaidy, designer and style influencer Nina Zandnia, Dubai food and lifestyle blogger Naomi D’souza, and Omar Borkan who became an internet sensation in 2015 as the Gulf’s most handsome man, have all contributed designs for the worthy cause as well.

Dubai’s urban food experience, Salt and Emirati fitness inspiration Essa Al Ansari in collaboration with BARE Gyms are also developing their own artistic t-shirt interpretations, along with three distinctive creations by host venue and fashion concept-store LE66 Champs-Elysées in City Walk. Eclectic and affordable art retailer Drawdeck will be producing all t-shirt designs, which are available to purchase at LE66, and retail between AED 150 and AED 220.

Other aspects of the event will see local and international celebrities host evening talks throughout October and November at LE66, on topics such as creativity and conscious living, while Pink Caravan, an initiative of FoCP, will have male and female screenings at two locations. On October 24 and 25, they will be available at Marasi, in Business Bay, while during October 27 and 28 they will be located in The Walk, JBR.

“We wanted to do more than just show support for a cause, we wanted to make a real difference to peoples’ lives, so we came up with this initiative to raise funds for the Friends of Cancer Patients society,” says Executive Director of Dual Investments, Shames Al Hashemi. “FoCP has been doing amazing work over the last few years, especially with their Pink Caravan initiative which seeks to detect cancer at a much earlier stage, and LE66 is honoured to aid and host such a worthy cause. It’s heartening to see how many friends of the brand came forward and offered their time and creativity. The designs are such that they’re not only unique and contain a message, but are stylish enough to wear all year round, and are perfectly aligned with LE66’s values as a brand. We encourage everyone to check them out, get involved, and of course visit our store in City Walk and get a t-shirt, because every single dirham of profits will be donated to the FoCP.”

The initiative is billed as a great chance to not only buy limited edition t-shirts, expand horizons and meet celebrities, but also a wonderful opportunity to help cancer patients and their families going through an exceptionally difficult time in their lives.
